5 Ideas to Celebrate Your Members in The Gym
How These Studio Owners Are Decorating Their Gyms With Social Proof

Estimated read time: 1 minute 32 seconds.
Dear Fitpreneurs,
When people walk into your gym, they need to feel at home.
One way to achieve this is to decorate your walls with social proof.
Members love it and it’s a secret weapon in the sales process.
Here are 5 ideas for celebrating your members inside the gym:

#1 - Personal Record Board
Alex Reader Fitness

There’s nothing more empowering than members seeing their progress.
Alex lets his clients note their PB’s on a whiteboard.
In one quick glance, they can see how far they’ve come in a matter of weeks.
#2 - Non-Aesthetic Goals
Evolve 353

At Evolve, they like to celebrate results unrelated to weight-loss.
Ashton gets his members to write their big goals on a blackboard.
They’re then encouraged to take a polaroid photo of themselves and stick it on the wall.
This is a powerful visual of the gym’s ethos, especially during sales consultations.
#3 - Transformations
Forge Female Fitness

If there’s one thing Forge Fitness are great at, it’s female transformations.
To prove they're the best at what they do, they have a dedicated board to show before-and-afters.
Grace (gym owner) also arranges professional photoshoots as part of her offer.
This becomes an enjoyable experience for her members.
And they feel part of the gym when they see their photos on the wall.
#4 - Ranking Chart
Superhero Fitness

Tracking progress in the gym is usually carried out in stealth mode.
Members typically note their workout on their phone and hide it from everyone else.
But not at Superhero Fitness.
Liam has a colour-coded chart based on a belt system.
Covering a range of exercises, members attach a sticker depending on where they’re at.
#5 - Mural
Live Fit Gym

One other way to celebrate your members is to paint it.
At one of our gyms, Live Fit, we commissioned a huge mural with our slogan, “Live the Fit Life”.
As soon as new members walk in the gym, they know what they’ve become part of.
Plus it looks pretty cool too!

Final Words…
There are hundreds of other ways to celebrate your members.
But decorating your walls is an easy win. Plus it’s something else the big commercial gyms don’t do.
