We Made a Gym Video Ad In The Style of MrBeast

Essential Reads for Building a Successful Fitness Studio

Read time: 2 minutes

Dear Fitpreneurs,

MrBeast is YouTube’s biggest star,

His channel racks up millions of views, and he edits his videos for max retention.

So I studied his content and decided to make a fitness studio ad he’d be be proud of.

Here’s how we did it:

NEW EPISODE

Our Viral Strategy For Getting Local Attention

In this episode, we dive into how we landed 19 business partnerships from just one post. We share the strategy behind it, break down what worked, and how you can apply the same approach to grow your business. We also give an update on our gym launch.

In this episode you’ll learn:

  • Why last week was slow, but this week is packed with updates

  • The waiting list numbers and what they mean for us

  • The exact marketing strategy we used for those partnerships

  • A sneak peek at the next phase of our studio launch

#1 - The Video Brief

It’s not hard to go viral in a local town.

But you have to be willing to do things others wouldn’t.

So our plan was simple:

Hit up as many local business owners as possible to see if we could film with them.

We figured if our video included places people recognise, more people would watch.

#2 - The Finished Ad

#3 - The Hook

We needed something at the start of the video to keep people watching.

By calling out the town (Halstead), we added relevancy.

There’s also an element of curiosity because viewers wonder what there is to offer.

Finally, we added a visual hook where we walked towards the camera.

This made the make the first 3 seconds interesting.

#4 - The Transitions

MrBeast uses a tonne of transitions in his video.

The reason? It’s all about “pacing”.

Viewer retention is key and that’s why an ad needs to keep people engaged.

The more people that watch, the more that click, the more that book an appointment (and so on).

Having smooth transitions to each shot helps achieve this.

#5 - The Story

Our ethos at Revamp is to support local.

So we wanted to make this message clear straight off the bat.

That's why the video highlights the town's key landmarks.

It shows, “We’re on your side” and “We make the effort”.

Final Words…

If you’re a personal trainer or studio owner, don’t settle for boring and generic ads.

You know the ones… “Stand in front of a town sign and declare your offer”.

Nope, there’s enough of those.

Be creative. Do research. Stand out.

“Throw everything at it"
