How to fill your pipeline and get new clients with content

28 Day Pipeline Challenge

A lot can happen in 28 days. Gangnam Style can become a cultural hit, Sam Allardyce can manage a football team to relegation and a method actor, in between jobs, can grow a scruffy beard.
Personal trainers can also fill their sales pipelines (easily).
So if you’re reading this right now and your PT business isn’t growing… buckle up and take a deep breath. Because what we’re about to share is the key to getting clients with content.
28 days to get clients with content
To kick things off, you really only need three things:
A content workflow (steal ours here)
Weekly lead magnets
Follow up process
Rule 1 - Establish a content workflow
A workflow is personal. It all depends on your daily routine, your commitments and your goals. Our approach is simple. We give our best content to our clients first and then repurpose it for our audience.
We also create a resource every week we give our clients to support the training. After, we use the topic of the training to publish posts across 7 days on Instagram and Facebook, including the resource as a lead magnet.
We give the posts names to help us remember…
Monday: Authority (Shifting belief and highlighting our expertise)
Tuesday: Live Training (Quick 15 min version of the client training)
Wednesday: Social proof (A client’s recent achievement)
Thursday: 2-Step (Simple CTA to the resource)
Friday & Saturday: Character (Friends, family, values etc.)
Sunday: Newsletter (Combining all posts for week ahead)

Rule 2 - Create weekly lead magnets
If you follow this workflow, you’ll have a new resource created every week.
This adds more intellectual property to your brand and increases the perceived value of your coaching.
For a real life example of this, you’ll notice in every single one of our newsletters, we give you a free gift 🎁
This is plucked out from what we give our clients so there’s no extra leg-work to make anything new.
The extra benefit of this is that each lead magnet falls into a theme. After a year, we can bundle similar lead magnets into a multi-pack and potentially sell or use it to drive more subscribers to the newsletter.
The more you create, the more it compounds.
Rule 3 - Be hot on the follow-up
With every single one of the posts mentioned, there is a call-to-action to either download the free resource or book a call.
As a result of this, you’ll begin to have a lot of people raise their hand and follow through. After a few weeks, this can be overwhelming and you won’t remember who to follow up with.
That’s why we suggest creating a kanban board where you can move prospects from column to column (we’ve created one for you here on Notion).
Remember, your goal is to either get a “Yes” or a “No” from every single prospect. The last thing you want is anyone on the fence and a huge column of dead leads.
If you’re consistent with this process, you’ll have more opportunities and you’ll fill your pipeline. The problem is that most people won’t bother. But that’s the opportunity for you!
