We Filled Our New Gym in 2 Weeks: Our £19,500 Launch Broken Down
Tracking your numbers reveals where the real problem lies.
Read time: 2 minutes
Dear Fitpreneurs,
We just filled our entire gym in 2 weeks before we open.
That’s nearly £20k in front-end sales.
And it’s the second time we’ve done it this year.
Wanna know how? Here’s the secret:
NEW EPISODE
The Highs & Lows of Launching Our Second Fitness Studio
In this episode, we talk about how we’re almost at full capacity for our second location. We share the ups and downs of launching a new studio and how quickly we’ve moved from one location to two. We also give an inside look into the systems we’re using to manage operations more smoothly, including centralising data and automating tasks. Plus, we’ve brought on a special new team member—our dad—as CFO. It’s been a busy and exciting week, and we’re excited to share it all with you.
In this episode you’ll learn:
Launching our second location and filling spots quickly
Managing growth while keeping new clients happy
Setting up systems to automate operations
Hiring our dad as CFO and why he's the perfect fit
This week’s goals and what's coming next
#1 - The Launch Plan
Most beginner studio owners don’t see the value of a launch.
They secure the lease, get the keys and start selling.
We allowed 2 months before our first sessions took place to build a buzz and get the town talking.
To help us, we put together a timeline on Notion and planned everything to the minute.
We create custom launch plans like this for our coaching clients who are launching.
#2 - The Lead Up Letters
If you build in secret, no-one will care.
That’s why every week, we shared a new update in local Facebook groups.
If people wanted to find out more, we directed them to register for our waiting list.
After 4-5 weeks of doing this, we ended up with over 600 people signalling their interest to join.
#3 - The Appointment Queue
Perhaps our most valuable framework.
To create demand, you must add urgency and scarcity at every step.
When it came to releasing our front-end offer, we capped numbers to 65.
But we gave our waiting list the chance to “skip the queue”.
This ended up with 59 people getting the offer 1 hour before the rest of the list.
Then we opened it up to the public the following week (fuelled with ads).
#4 - The Sales Consultation
In 24 hours, 92 people booked appointments (147 in total)
We condensed these meetings into a 2-week period.
Out of 93 appointments shown, 65 signed up —resulting in £19,500 in front-end sales.
We sat 46.5 hours worth of consultations in less than 2 weeks.
#5 - The Recommit
With 65 new clients onboard, the next task is to keep as many as possible.
This is where it’s all down to the experience.
In 3 weeks time, we’ll invite every single customer to a meeting where we’ll review their progress.
This is when we’ll offer them the opportunity to become an official member.
For those who decide against it, we’ll open up their spot for new front-end customers.
Final Words…
It’s amazing to see all your hard work culminate in a successful launch.
But it wouldn’t be possible without our awesome team who provide an incredible experience to our members.
We’re blessed to continue expanding Revamp and changing lives everyday.
There truly is no better business than a local fitness studio.
