Behind the Scenes of Our First Steps to Launching Our New Fitness Studio

From 0 to 388 Leads: The First Week of Our Fitness Studio Launch

Read time: 2 minutes

Dear Fitpreneurs,

Last week, we started the waiting list for our new fitness studio.

We’re now up to 388 people and things are hotting up.

Here’s what we’ve been doing over the last 7 days:

NEW EPISODE

Breaking Down Our New Content Strategy For Our Gym

In this episode, we dive into our new content strategy for the gym and explain how it’s helping us connect better with our community. We break down the exact framework we’re using, which we call "Weekly REPS."

In this episode you’ll learn:

  • The insane results from our latest ad campaign.

  • Why organic content is a sales game-changer.

  • A quick intro to our "Weekly REPS" strategy.

  • Why Instagram and Facebook are our top priorities.

  • How four simple posts are driving massive engagement.

#1 - We Sent The First Lead Up Letter

The first email in our lead-up letter series is the location reveal.

We posted a teaser in the Facebook group the day before and this led to 152 new people on the waiting list in one day!

This will be the first of 10 emails we’ll send in preparation for launch.

#2 - We Launched Waiting List Ads

Usually, we only start running ads at the offer stage.

Facebook groups tend to generate a majority of waiting list registrations.

But we figured there’s no reason why we can’t layer ads on-top this time round.

So we started running 3 creatives at £10 per day using our Local Ad Formula.

As of right now, we’re getting a blended cost-per-lead of 66p. Yep, that’s 66p!

Our goal is to push towards 1,000 people on the email list before we launch our offer.

#3 - We’ve Started Recruiting Coaches

One of the most challenging parts of launching any studio is assembling a dream team of coaches.

With our current location, we were blessed with people we trust from the very beginning.

We've adopted a stronger hiring process with Halstead and have already started interviews.

At Revamp, we prioritise personality and integrity in every coach. We're looking for the same qualities in these new team members.

#4 - We’ve Started Ordering Equipment

We have finalised a list of all equipment we need and have ordered from suppliers.

The total cost is looking like £13k, which is lower than we expected.

We’ll likely now invest in a set of new fancy scales.

These have been integral in the sales process and client experience in our current location. So it makes sense to keep things consistent across sites.

Next Steps

Over the next week, we’ll get our waiting list to vote on the outdoor signage and get this ordered.

We’re also arranging the boring stuff like security and sound installation.

Big week week ahead!
